Eagle-eyed viewers of Raw may have noticed the armbands being worn by Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens on the most recent episode.
There’s a very significant reason for them.
The black armbands depicted a fleurs-de-lis in white and blue, the symbol central to the flag of the Canadian province of Quebec.
As you may have heard, a recent terrorist attack left six dead at a Quebec Mosque during an evening prayer service.
Both Zayn and Owens are from the province of Quebec, and have spoken out against the attacks on social media.

A rough translation: “I just learned what happened in Sainte-Foy. I’m absolutely disgusted. I really do not know what else to say. My thoughts are with the families of the victims and with Quebec as a whole. I have an empty heart right now. Let’s take care of each other. Ignorance and intolerance have no place here. We are above that and we MUST remain so. Talk to your children.”
Zayn offered a simple statement in English, French, and Arabic.
My heart is with the Muslims of Quebec.
Mon coeur est avec les musulmans du Québec.

Zayn appeared in a match with Chris Jericho, while Owens defended the Universal Title against Braun Strowman. Both men wore the armbands throughout their respective segments.
We applaud Zayn and Owens’ show of solidarity.
