The Hardy Boyz returned to WWE this week, but it’s not as if Matt and Jeff had been underground for all their time away.
In addition to their character-redefining run in Impact and recent stint with Ring of Honor, they’ve been working indie shows all over the country.
In fact, they had several appearances booked in April, made before their surprise appearance at WrestleMania, including a show at Tommy Dreamer’s House of Hardcore.
You might think those dates would be cancelled, but it seems WWE is allowing the brothers to fulfill their engagements.
Matt posted confirmation to Twitter earlier today.
.@WWE is graciously allowing us to fulfill our previously booked dates-
4/8 @IWCwrestling
4/21 & 4/22 @HouseofHardcore

We surely won’t see the Hardys book any additional dates following these, but it’s good to see WWE allowing them to fulfill their previous engagements.
It’s not the only bit of baggage the Boyz have brought along for WWE, of course. Judging by the thunderous “delete” chants at WrestleMania and the Raw afterwards, it seems the fans want the Broken gimmick in WWE. But the Hardys appeared after Raw speaking in pretty normal terms.
That hasn’t stopped Matt from continuing to play the character on his social media channels, though.
The sheer NIRVANA of coming home to that DEAFENING ovation at #Wrestlemania seems to have contained my CONDISHTION.
If it CAN be contained.

It’ll be interesting to see whether WWE wades into the legal battle with Impact over the Broken gimmick, and it seems they’ll need to address it one way or another soon.
