Revealed in a video posted today on the official website of the Minnesota Vikings, an upcoming WrestleMania will be coming to Minneapolis soon.
“Before the building is even open, we have already secured the Super Bowl in 2018, the NCAA basketball Final Four in 2019. We are a finalist and seem to be in a very good position to secure the college football playoffs, the BCS Championship game and you know we’ve got WrestleMania coming.”
In response to these comments, WWE made an official statement regarding future WrestleMania’s:
“Minneapolis is one of the many cities that has expressed an interest in hosting a future WrestleMania. Beyond WrestleMania in Dallas, TX on April 3, 2016, locations for future WrestleMania’s have not been announced.”
The first WrestleMania that would be up for consideration is WrestleMania 33. With the previous two WrestleMania’s being held in San Francisco and New Orleans, respectively, WWE might be looking to make a shift back east soon.
Rumors have been circulating of WWE hosting WrestleMania with the Vikings for some time. New stadium General Manager, Patrick Talty, previously worked as WWE’s Senior VP of Live Events, making a connection to these rumors plausible.

Editor’s Note:
Based on some networking done by another one of our WrestlingRumors.net writers, I believe that US Bank has made a bid to host WrestleMania 33. This would be a nice change of pace to allow fans in the Northeastern part of the country to potentially travel to Minnesota for “The Grandest Stage of them All,” as I am sure the last 3 locations would not have been easy trips to make. Also, WWE is notorious for being attracted to the “newest high-tech” stadiums, and with US Bank having a roof, this only makes logical sense.
