According to Wrestlezone.com, WWE Diva and Team PCB member Paige took the opportunity Saturday during a Q&A session at the Pittsburgh Wizard World Comic-Con to clarify to fans in attendance exactly what happened during her recent restaurant scuffle in Baltimore.
According to TMZ.com, a regular of the establishment approached the Divas and began harassing them by shooting pictures and videos. This led to drinks flying across the room and the ladies getting involved in a fight. The initial report also states that both ladies were removed from the establishment after the incident.
In addition, reports later surfaced questioning whether or not the events of the evening were actually real, quoting a source close to F4WOnline.com, who stated that it was in fact shot for “Total Divas.”
With so many questions circulating regarding the incident, Paige felt like sharing her side of the story:
Paige clarified that Total Divas cameras were not present during the altercation, and it was not something filmed for the reality show. According to Paige, the Divas were singing karaoke at Supano’s when the fan in question – a regular female customer – was filming them singing with her cell phone. The Divas then proceeded to ask the woman not to film them; the customer then became very angry and threw her drink in the Divas’ direction. The ladies then chose to leave the establishment on their own accord after the restaurant manager intervened.
Editor’s Note:
There are more than two sides to every story, and from a fan’s perspective, it’s nice to get clarification on this situation. Fans have been crossing the line a lot recently, demonstrated from the several fans who have had in-ring altercations with WWE superstars. Jumping barricades and chucking items at wrestlers should not be the norm, and fans should remember that superstars are regular people just like us, and should treat them as such.
