World Wrestling Entertainment announced this week that Lana, who is currently in an on-screen relationship with superstar Dolph Ziggler, had injured her wrist while training in the squared circle prior to a recent Live Event.

The recovery time from such an injury is set at roughly four months following surgery. This would keep “The Ravishing Russian” out of WWE “Night of Champions” on Sept. 20 in Houston.

Per WWE.com, here are Dr. Chris Amann’s comments on her operation:

“Lana underwent open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) of a left distal radius fracture with a volar plate. The fracture was stabilized and returned to its normal anatomic position during the surgery using the volar plate and screws. Lana did very well without any complications and is expected to make a full recovery.”

There is some skepticism over whether Lana was in fact training for her wrestling debut when hurting her wrist, as Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com reports that those at the Performance Center in Orlando haven’t seen her there “in forever.”

Editor’s Note

Lana is one of the most popular (and beautiful) on-screen characters in the company. Here absence will definitely hurt the product.
