Now that Sasha Banks seems to be a full-time mainstay on the main roster, who will feud with Bayley for her newly-won NXT Women’s Championship?

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, backstage speculation is that Dana Brooke and Eva Marie are the next contenders for Bayley’s NXT Women’s title.

Matches between Brooke and Bayley are rumored to take place as soon as the Sept. 10 NXT television taping, possibly leading to a feud that could last until the Oct. 7 “Takeover” event.

It’s then believed that Eva Marie will insert herself into the mix at that time, possibly leading to matches during the UK Tour. As previously reported, WWE was looking to give a push to Eva Marie in the near future, as she has been working hard on improving her in-ring skills.

In addition to receiving extra promotion for her appearances on “Total Divas,” apparently WWE officials like the idea of making Eva Marie the NXT Women’s Champion, proving her critics wrong through hard work.

It is still unknown how this would ultimately go over with the WWE Universe, as it was previously reported that Bayley is the most popular Diva on the WWE roster. She continues to get over with all of the young girls in attendance, and her “I’m A Hugger” t-shirt is currently the No.1 seller on WWEShop.com among all current Divas on the roster.

Editor’s Note:

I mean eventually Bayley will join her other “Four Horsewomen” on the main roster, so someone else will need to become the face of the NXT Women’s division. I was confused at first with WWE overhyping Eva Marie’s “Total Divas” appearances during “Raw” commercials, but now this seems to make a little more sense. Eva Marie CLEARLY has the looks to get her over with the fans, but will her improved in-ring abilities ultimately be enough to make her a believable champion?
