WWE further teases John Cena vs Brock Lesnar at “SummerSlam” in a new mail-blast. As previously reported, Amazon.com recently leaked the image that will be featured as the cover of the “SummerSlam” DVD/Blu-Ray video following the Aug. 17 event. WWE then had the online marketplace remove the image, only to then include the picture in a blast sent out to their mailing list on June 27 claiming that Cena vs Lesnar will be happening at the annual Summer PPV.
The company emailed a copy of the picture as a “news alert” on June 27 with the accompanying caption that read,
“We have an early sneak peek at SummerSlam’s poster, which seems to pit John Cena against the man that brought down the streak, Brock Lesnar. August 17 can’t come fast enough!”
WWE has been teasing that Lesnar, who hasn’t been seen on WWE television since April when he defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX and conquered “The Streak, will be facing the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion at “SummerSlam” on Aug. 17. They issued a poll on their website teasing it, and it has been discussed by the commentary teams on WWE TV. They each have posed comments and questions in relation to the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion facing Lesnar on Aug. 17.
While the match may not necessarily have to be for the title, Lesnar has been positioned as a possible No. 1 Contender since January, when he claimed he didn’t need to enter the Royal Rumble Match since he was already the No. 1 Contender. Later, we would learn that Lesnar was supposed to face then champion Daniel Bryan at “SummerSlam,” but with Bryan rehabilitating from surgery, plans have altered and the card has been changed.
The question now is, will this be a title match? If so, this could very well spoil the main event for the upcoming “Money In The Bank” PPV on June 29, implying that Cena wins the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

As if Cena wasn’t already the safest option?
