A new report from F4Wonline.com, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez of “Wrestling Observer Radio,” gives some insight into the WWE reaction to Triple H’s appearance on “The Steve Austin Show” with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. The episode aired on live on the WWE Network on Feb. 2, and saw the WWE Hall of Famer and WWE COO talk about the creative differences between Triple H and Vince McMahon, how Chyna’s adult film career may be keeping her out of the WWE Hall of Fame, and more.
Austin also asked Triple H if he has any personal issues with CM Punk. Austin recognized that Punk had some controversial things to say about the company, and Triple H himself, and wanted to know if he felt the same way about Punk.
Triple H responded by saying that he has no hard feelings towards Punk, and never has. He claimed that Punk was a poor communicator, and he always had to hear from others that Punk had issues, which is then when he would confront the new UFC fighter about his problems. He claimed he wishes him the best, and if the WWE Universe demands Punk back, and he wants to return, the door would be open.
WWE employees backstage have been talking about Triple H’s comments, saying that Trips was not telling the truth about Punk. Apparently, their disdain for each other was well documented backstage, and no one believes that Triple H has just let his beef go within a matter of months.
Apparently, most talent backstage was surprised to hear a WWE executive like Triple H say that “Monday Night Raw” should go back to two hours. A lot of people in the back believe that the show should revert back to the two hour format that it held for 15 years.
Editor’s Note:
Man. So people around Triple H think he was lying about Punk, and agree with him on the show needing to go back to two hours. Seems about right.
