Through the past couple of months, Reddit user MetsFan4Ever has become a reliable source for WWE insider information. While not always correct, the user, who claims to be a former WWE employee, has a track record of being the first to break notable WWE News.

On Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, the presumed former WWE employee published a rumor report on a potential new gimmick for former NXT Tag Team Champion Kalisto, once known as Samuray del Sol on the independent circuit. The user’s report notes that Kalisto may soon be undergoing a gimmick change, as he and Sin Cara recently lost the NXT Tag Team Championships. Additionally, Sin Cara is now wrestling as a singles star on “Monday Night Raw” and “Smackdown.”

According to MetsFan4Ever, NXT officials are testing Kalisto for an unmasked gimmick, which would see him work as a “gay hair stylist.” During his trial run, Kalisto was said to have highly impressed the NXT officials. Because of his tremendous work, NXT officials are seriously considering dropping the Kalisto gimmick, and going forward with the unmasked “gay hair stylist” gimmick.

Editor’s Note

Wow. I am at a loss of words. WWE could really utilize Kalisto to replace Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara as a legitimate masked superstar. On a side note, why can’t the gimmick just be a “hair stylist?”
