WWE is pulling DVD and Blu-ray Home Videos from online distributors, such as Amazon.com. WrestlingDVDNews.com is claiming that the company may be doing this because they are partnering with a new Home Video distributor, and are removing copies produced prior to 2015, when their new deal with another company will go into place.
Over 100 different WWE DVD and Blu-rays, including “WrestleMania XXX,” “War Games,” and “Ladies and Gentlemen, My Name is Paul Heyman” were pulled from Amazon.com over the weekend. Each title was then placed back on the online super-store, but only with “pre-order” availability. Each title is set to be shipped again by Amazon.com on Jan. 1, 2015.
Recognizing that these videos will not ship again until the new year, this may be the proof that WWE is partnering with a new distributor. With “WrestleMania XXX” and “Ladies and Gentlemen, My Name is Paul Heyman” being the company’s latest big-sellers, WWE is likely having these titles re-printed by their new distributor first so that they’re back on the market as soon as possible.
Editor’s Note:
I wondered why so many WWE Home Videos had gone “out-of-print” over the last three months.
