Rumors are circulating that the WWE has officially signed Mexican-American independent wrestling sensation Samuray Del Sol. Seen last in Southside Wrestling Entertainment promotion’s “Speed King 2” event, Del Sol will be heading to the WWE developmental territory, NXT, very soon.

Early in May of 2013, multiple independent wrestlers were said to have been undergoing medical exams and physical fitness tests for WWE tryouts. Del Sol, along with Sami Callihan, was pulled from some of his indy bookings during this time, leaving many to believe they had a good shot at being brought up to the “big leagues.” Del Sol is the first official new WWE signing out of all of those rumored to have been trying out. Aside from Del Sol and Callihan, indy stars Mike Bennett and Shaun Ricker were also reported has to having the WWE tryout. Congratulations to Del Sol for making the cut, and getting his shot with the only Titans” of professional wrestling.
