In a new post on WWE.com, WWE makes a statement about Jamie Noble suffering an injury during “RAW” on June 22. As previously reported, Noble was injured during a spot where Brock Lesnar drove him into the security barricade as the final segment of the show was taking place.
While the statement does not provide further details about Noble’s injury, WWE writes the following,
“Jamie Noble suffered an injury at the hands of Brock Lesnar during The Beast’s brawl with The Authority at the end of Raw, WWE.com has confirmed.
Noble’s condition is currently being evaluated.”
Noble has a history with back injuries. It was a back injury in 2009 that Noble suffered during a match with Sheamus that led to his retirement from full-time in-ring competition. Since 2009, Noble has only sparingly worked matches inside the squared-circle, most notably as part of The Authority and J&J Security.
During the final segment of the June 22 edition of “RAW,” Noble was returning to ringside to help WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins thwart-off an attack from Lesnar. After “The Beast” took care of Kane and Joey Mercury, he turned to Noble and rammed him into the barricade. Noble was then kept off-camera as medical personnel attended to him, putting him on a stretcher to get him away from the ringside area, and giving him oxygen.
WrestlingRumors.net will have more on Noble’s status as further details become available.
Editor’s Note:
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Noble and his friends and family. Hopefully it’s nothing too serious.
