Rey Mysterio may be working injured. As we previously reported, the former champion may have re-injured his knee during his return to WWE television on November 18th during “RAW Country.” Eye-witnesses (@Byrnside) from Tuesday night’s Smackdown tapings are now saying that Mysterio did compete during the event, but was very limited. He was then seen leaving the arena with his knee heavy taped and protected.

Mysterio had knee surgery on June 19th to repair an injury suffered at the hands of Mark Henry in March. Although he was rumored to be medically cleared to compete in August, the WWE held off on bringing him back until the November 18th episode of “Monday Night Raw.”

Mysterio ran in to help out fellow babyfaces at the end of the program, hitting a double 619 among some other high-risk moves. He was seen limping back up the ramp and out of the arena Monday night, and is said to have only a small role during his match this Friday night on Smackdown.

If Mysterio is working hurt, his injury could get worse this Sunday night at the Survivor Series, as he joins the Usos and the Rhodes brothers in a traditional five-on-five elimination tag team bout against the Shield and the Real Americans.
