Big E. Langston is the new WWE Intercontinental Champion. Langston defeated former champion Curtis Axel during the November 18th edition of “Monday Night Raw.”

Langston and Axel were slated to meet for the Intercontinental Championship twice before the match actually took place on the “RAW Country” edition of the WWE’s flagship program. This is Langston’s first run with a major WWE title, and it is rumored that Langston will defend the Intercontinental Championship against Axel again Sunday, November 24th at the Survivor Series PPV.
