Triple H remembers the Ultimate Warrior during a new interview with Brian Campbell of ESPN. Triple H speaks to the iconic sports network about Warrior’s tragic death, which occurred on Tuesday, April 8 as he returned home to Arizona following WrestleMania weekend.

Triple H begins the conversation by acknowledging that World Wrestling Entertainment took a blow of devastation when they received word of Warrior’s passing. The company had just celebrated Warrior’s homecoming and inducted him into the WWE Hall of Fame, honoring his iconic career.

He also notes that Warrior was extremely happy to be back, and that he has a smile on his face the entire weekend. He deems his sudden passing as, “shocking, tragic and devastating to all of us.”

Triple H claims he had worked personally on bring Warrior back to the company for 18 months before Warrior signed a WWE Legends contract in the Summer of 2013. According to Triple H, it was a healing process and that both sides had moved on from their previous grievances.
