Triple H may be a special referee for the upcoming “SummerSlam” match between his wife Stephanie McMahon and Brie Bella. As previously reported, the match was made official during the final episode of “Monday Night Raw” of July, and the contract for the match was signed during the Aug. 4 edition of the flagship program.
F4Wonline.com is reporting that Triple H may be involved in the showdown at the annual Summer event on Aug. 17. Triple H was in the ring during the contract signing, and made his presence felt after both women had signed the bottom line.
Following the signing of the document, Triple H pinned Bella up against the far turnbuckle, allowing McMahon to attack her sister Nikki. After dropping Nikki Bella with a Pedigree, the move her husband “The Game” made famous, Brie then got out from behind the table proceeding to attack McMahon.
McMahon would get the upper hand with her husband in the ring however, and she also gave the Pedigree to her “SummerSlam” opponent. Triple H being Special Referee would add a feeling of Brie being “out-numbered” to the bout, thus giving her victory much more meaning if she were to conquer both Stephanie and Triple H’s influence on the match. It also means Brie has little, to “no chance in hell” of winning the contest.
The stipulation would seemingly be added to the match during the final episode of “Monday Night Raw” before the PPV, which will air live on the USA Network on Aug. 11.
Editor’s Note:
Triple H doesn’t have a match at “SummerSlam.” This would be a great fit for him and would add that sense of “Brie running up hill.”
