Former WWE Champion Randy Orton has apologized for attacking a fan on Twitter. As previously reported, Orton tweeted an image standing next to a fan that he called “Ms. Piggy” on Aug. 4. He has since removed the tweets referencing the fan or Ms. Piggy, and has issued an apology.

TMZ, as well as every other wrestling news website, picked up the story, drawing some much unwanted attention to the superstar. He has since gone to Twitter to apologize for his actions, saying,

 

 

Apparently, the female he made the comments about had been verbally bullying Orton and his girlfriend, and this is why Orton attacked her. Orton shed light on this detail when he retweeted something from a fan in regards to the matter.

 

 

Orton will be facing Roman Reigns at “SummerSlam” on Aug. 17.
