The WWE Tag titles may be defended during the “SummerSlam” Kick-Off show on Aug. 17. According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, current WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos may be facing one team, or a set of teams during the pre-show to the actual Pay-Per-View event.

As previously reported, WWE has been discussing having the Tag Team titles contested for in a Fatal 4 Way match at “SummerSlam.” However, the match may actually kick-off the show on the WWE Network.

As far as rumored opponents for The Usos, there are many. As of right now, there are no clear cut No. 1 contenders for the tag straps, meaning any team is game. RybAxel, Slater Gator, The Dusts (Stardust and Goldust), Kofi Kingston and Big E, and The Wyatt Family are all contestants.

Another tag team will debut during the Aug. 8 edition of “Smackdown” featuring Big Show and Mark Henry. They could even potentially be contenders.

Whoever faces The Usos for the titles, no matter the type of match, will get their shot at Tag Team gold on Aug. 17 prior to the PPV actually beginning.

Usos = Kick-Off Playas Supreme!
