WWE claims “Smackdown” is possibly moving to Thursdays. As previously reported, fans took pictures alongside of new WWE production trucks during the Aug. 5 “Smackdown” tapings in Laredo, T.X. These new trucks were branded with the new WWE logo, and stated that the program airs on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on SyFy, when currently the program airs on Fridays.

F4Wonline.com has received a comment from WWE that states,

“Someone was overzealous in updating our production trucks. The trucks are being fixed to reflect the current and accurate information of Fridays at 8 p.m.”

The report goes on to state that discussions about moving the program to Thursdays, which is the day the program aired from 1999-2005, are currently being held by the company, but that nothing has been confirmed yet. “Smackdown” will remain on SyFy under the new WWE television deal with NBCUniversal, and will currently continue to run on Friday nights until otherwise noted.

Editor’s Note:
THEY ARE TRYING TO SAVE FACE BIG TIME. You know no one “screwed” up the truck. By September, I bet “Smackdown” will be on Thursday nights again, battling both NFL and College Football, which makes ZERO sense to me.
