Former TNA Knockout Taeler Hendrix recently sat down with Chris Kelly of Headlocks2Headlines to conduct her first interview since being released from her TNA contract. During the podcast, Hendrix, real name Taeler Conrad-Mellen, opens up about what it was like to work for TNA, the company’s financial issues, TNA’s Gut Check competition, and more.
Hendrix discusses how unhappy she was being a part of TNA, and especially their developmental program based out of Ohio Valley Wrestling. She goes on to say that many of those that are in OVW are unhappy. Hendrix also speaks out about the recently rumored financial struggles within TNA, saying that they are effecting everyone in the company from the top all the way to the bottom.
When asked about TNA’s Gut Check compeition, Hendrix states that she believes it’s a failure. She feels that the contest fails to publicize OVW, and that TNA’s new bracket system required the company to release their wrestlers real names into the public without asking most of them for permission to do so.
Hendrix also states that TNA originally sent her a contract to re-sign, but she rejected the deal because of her unhappiness with the spot that she was in. TNA then informed her she was being released instead.
