A six-on-six Elimination Match may take place at Survivor Series. The set up for a classic tag match occurred during the tapings for the November 11th episode of Monday Night Raw in Manchester, England. At the end of the event, The Wyatt Family and The Shield stood toe-to-toe against CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Cody Rhodes, Goldust, and the Usos.
Speculation about whether or not the upcoming November Pay-Per-View event would have a classic elimination tag team match on its card or not has been happening since September, when rumors had Punk and Bryan being involved in a classic “Survivor Series” type bout, but not in the manner in which the WWE is setting up the one that can happen in two weeks in Boston.
Many believed that Punk would have a team that would face a “Team Heyman” crew, but after Punk finally got his “hands on” Paul Heyman at Hell in a Cell, and that Heyman has now dropped Ryback as a client, that rumor has officially been debunked.
Likewise, Bryan was rumored to have a team face off against “Team Orton.” That will obviously not happen, as Randy Orton will face the Big Show for the WWE Championship at the annual PPV event. Again, the rumor mill gets it wrong.
During the RAW tapings in England, the Wyatt Family interrupted a bout between the Shield, Punk, and Bryan. As they joined with the Shield in attacking both Bryan and Punk, the Usos, Rhodes, and Goldust made the save, creating a buzz among the internet that this may be the classic Survivor Series bout we are all wanting to see.
The set up for a classic elimination tag team match has begun, and with the twelve men that may seemingly take part in this match being who they are, it should be one hell of a match.
