Rumors of a power struggle exist inside WWE. According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer claims people within the company are saying a power war exists currently between executives, including Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
The report claims the rift between executives pits Triple H and Stephanie McMahon on one side against executives George Barrios and Michelle Wilson. While no major details have been described in regards to this “power struggle,” many believe that the tension between parties stems from the current performance of the WWE Network.
Barrios and Wilson were the two main executives in charge of launch of the WWE Network, which has not pulled in the amount of subscribers the company was seeking. In fact, many that originally subscribed for the WWE Network in February have cancelled their agreements and/or allowed their subscriptions to run out.
The two executives were also in charge of the highly controversial 2014 WWE television deal. Initially, Barrios, Wilson, and company had projected a large contract would be in store for WWE from a major television network amidst the “successful” launch of the WWE Network. However, when talks with various companies failed to yield the amount of money the company was searching for, WWE re-signed a deal with NBCUniversal for must less than expected.
This would send the company stock plummeting down, costing Vince McMahon and others millions of dollars. It would also bring a number of lawsuits against WWE due to the false statements and projections made in regards to how much money the WWE Network and a new television deal would bring the company.
All that is currently understood at the moment, is that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are not happy with Barrios and Wilson and the four executives are seemingly at odds.

So…basically it’s a tag team program between the suits. I get it.
