During Sunday’s WWE Payback Pay-Per-View, a promo aired confirming that former WWE and ECW Champion Rob Van Dam will return at WWE Money in the Bank in July. We have reported for months that Van Dam has been rumored to be returning to the WWE at some point in 2013, but he had yet to confirm these rumors and he had not been seen on television since his TNA contract expired earlier this year.

Van Dam is expected to compete in one of the 2 “Money in the Bank” ladder matches for either the WWE or the World Heavyweight Championship. If he were to win the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank ladder match, he would seemingly begin feuding with Alberto Del Rio or Dolph Ziggler. If he were to win the WWE Championship Money in the Bank ladder match, he would feud with John Cena. We have reported that current WWE plans for the WWE Championship include Daniel Bryan and John Cena, so if Van Dam was to win a briefcase at Money in the Bank, one would think that he would win the World Heavyweight Championship opportunity, and start a program with “The Show Off.” Makes sense right?

No matter what happens during July’s PPV, one thing is for sure; “The Whole F’n Show” is returning to the WWE next month. With “Mr. Monday Night” already winning the Money in the Bank ladder match before, the question has to be, could we see another airbrushed “RVD” briefcase once this event is over?
