The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported an update on Rey Mysterio’s health and return date. Mysterio has not wrestled in a WWE ring since he suffered a knee injury during a run-in attack by Mark Henry back in March.

According to the report, Mysterio’s latest visit with WWE doctors in Florida has confirmed that he is nearly ready for a return, and could be back wrestling full time as early as August. WWE creative is currently working on ways to bring him back, possibly by Summerslam. As we noted yesterday, creative is looking at possibly pairing Mysterio with current United States Champion Dean Ambrose in a program upon his return.
