Multiple sources are reporting that former WCW star Al Green has passed away at age 57. Green suffered from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, as well as some other health issues, and succumbed to the disease early in the morning on Friday, June 14th. Green had performed under many names and gimmicks in the WCW, best known in the early 90’s as one half of the Master Blasters, and ending his WCW under the name Dog. As part of the Wrecking Crew in the early 90’s, Green was known as Rage. He then went by his name until getting repackaged as Dog around the year 2000.

As part of the Master Blasters, Green wrestled as Blade, the partner of Steel, who was Kevin Nash. Nash took to Twitter Friday afternoon to share his thoughts on Green…

The entire staff at WrestlingRumors.net offers our condolences to Green’s family and friends.
