A new report from PWInsider.com claims that John Cena’s nagging injuries are getting worse and he may need time off soon to recuperate. According to the report, Cena has been dealing with shoulder issues for six-to-eight weeks. Now it seems that following his brutal beat down at “SummerSlam,” he is dealing with nagging neck complications as well.

Cena was manhandled by Brock Lesnar on Aug. 17 during his loss at “SummerSlam.” He was German Suplexed 16 times, many of them being release suplexes which sent Cena onto his neck and shoulder. Many believe the quantity of suplexes are a direct link to his nagging neck and shoulder injuries getting more severe.

Backstage, people are noticing that Cena has slowed down physically due to the pain he is currently walking around in. WWE executives are concerned about how much longer he will keep working in the ring. Cena has been the poster child of WWE action for well over 10 years, but his time as the face of the company may be coming to an end.

As previously reported, some officials and executives had said they are keeping their eye on Cena, because many believe that he will be transitioning out of full-time in-ring competition, and into more movie roles very soon.

Editor’s Note:
How soon is soon? I’ll have to see it to believe it.
