The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter claims that new plans for Brock Lesnar’s match at “SummerSlam” exist. As previously reported, Lesnar was originally slated to face Daniel Bryan for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Aug. 17. However, some WWE officials are questioning Bryan’s ability and whether he’ll be ready for “SummerSlam,” and have moved his name to a different spot on the card.

Lesnar is still slated to face the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at “SummerSlam,” whoever that may be. Following Bryan being stripped of the titles due to his inability to compete, a new champion is set be crowned on June 29 a the “Money In The Bank” PPV. Lesnar will likely face whoever wins the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match at “SummerSlam.”

In addition to being booked in a title match at “SummerSlam,” Lesnar is also scheduled to be a main event player during the “Night Of Champions” PPV that will take place in September. Lesnar is booked for two events back-to-back under the impression that his presence on the cards will help draw subscribers to the WWE Network to view the events.

“Night Of Champions” will be the first WWE PPV taking place following the expiration of the first six-month subscription to the WWE Network that all current subscribers agreed to. WWE plans to book “Night of Champions” almost like a WrestleMania event in hopes that it will entice subscribers to renew their subscription to the network. They also hope the event garners new attention and new subscribers to the network as well.

Editor’s Note:
Lesnar will be champion leaving “SummerSlam” if he competes in a title match at the event. No way he can’t be. He conquered the Streak, and needs to give the rub off victory to Cesaro, so the only way Cesaro gets that immediately is if Lesnar wins the title at “SummerSlam,” then Cesaro takes the title off of him at “Night of Champions.”
