Report: The Funkadactyls Will Split-Up Soon

The Funkadactyls will split-up soon. As teased during WWE programming during the week of June 16, Cameron and Naomi are set to go their separate ways very soon.

The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided further information in regards to the imminent break-up of The Funkadactyls. Originally, the ensuing separation of Naomi and Cameron was discussed as an angle that WWE officials and producers wanted to shoot for “Total Divas: Season 2.” However, it was held off until now, and the angle will play out on the third season of the popular E! TV show.

Taping for “Total Divas” began during the June 16 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” which saw Cameron face WWE Divas Champion Paige in a non-title match. She lost clean, and pitched a fit. The following night on WWE “Main Event,” Naomi faced Paige and defeated her clean.

Following the match, Cameron celebrated like a crazy person after interrupting a handshake between Paige and Naomi, insinuating that she will be the Funkadactyl going heel. Her positioning as heel makes more sense as well, as she’s commonly showcased as “bitchy” on “Total Divas,” and is not as good of a worker in the ring as Naomi.

The split could officially take place at “Money In The Bank,” when Cameron costs Naomi the WWE Divas Championship. As of right now, Paige vs. Naomi is penciled in to take place at “Money In The Bank” on June 29.
