Update: John Cena Meets Brittany Depew, Fulfilling Her Wish

As we previously reported, through the power of Twitter, John Cena was able to reach out to one of his adoring fans, Brittany Depew. Depew, a soon to be 21-year-old, received a video from Cena, who wished her a happy early 21st birthday. At the time, Depew also recently graduated high school, and Cena congratulated her for that as well.

Following his making of the video, Cena tweeted about the power of social media:

On Tuesday, June 17, John Cena fulfilled Brittany Depew’s wish by surprisingly showing up to her home in Kentucky. Cena showed up with gifts, such as one of his own “Never Give Up” t-shirts, improving upon her already vast collection of his merchandise. Though, the biggest gift was likely the hugs Depew received from Cena.

Depew is currently staying strong in her battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, which she is battling for a third time, according to her Facebook page.

As noted, Depew recently graduated high school. Last fall, at Simon Kenton High School, she won homecoming queen. Despite these other accomplishments, meeting Cena may have very well came out on top.
