TITUS O’NEIL def. JACK SWAGGER: …checked out…
Zeb Colter’s promo = EPIC. Taking Attitude Era strides and telling people, “If you can’t feed em, don’t breed em.” I’m sure some people in the liberal media were upset, or will be once a news outlet picks up on it.
The match was juts MEH to me though. The show’s boring point reached its heights here. Just really kind of slow, between two guys I want to see succeed in single’s competition.
DANIEL BRYAN def. *US and Tag Team Champions* THE SHIELD: MARKED OUT!
They started this one late, so you knew there wouldn’t be three straight up bouts in this one, but we did get a great one between Bryan and Rollins before the craziness started.
It was a nice touch to say that anyone watching on the ramp that tried to help Bryan would be fired, but isn’t the Big Show’s contract “Iron Clad”? Was that just a #heel tactic for him to be able to do whatever he wants, and we were supposed to forget about that? Frustrating, but whatever.
DQ’s give Bryan the win, but he gets destroyed for spray painting Orton’s new car. Good way to end the show and properly give Orton and Triple H some better #heel heat going forward into Night of Champions.
RAW 08/26/13 OVERALL: MARKED OUT!
Decent build show. Nothing too awful happened, so definitely not a “…checked out…” kind of show, but it could have been a lot better as well.
The build to the next PPV was great, where as the builds at the beginning of the year were HORRIBLE. That’s what you get when you have people like Brock and Rock as your main guys at that time and they won’t wrestle on TV or really do much aside from talking.
I believe that Night of Champions can be a good show, and that next week’s RAW will see Bryan get a LITTLE bit of redemption, and Orton get more and more nasty. Gotta change him into someone the fans hate by Battleground at the latest in my opinion.
Overall though – Good show.
