Former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy recently joined Troy Hughes of 105.3 The Fan in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX. to talk about his career, TNA Wrestling’s current situation in regards to their TV show’s possible cancellation, Sting in WWE, and more.
Hardy first talks about the fact that he idolized Sting and the Ultimate Warrior growing up in Cameron, N.C. He then moves into talking about Sting joining forces with WWE. When asked how he feels about watching Sting go into WWE, he says,
“Yeah, I’m so excited man. My buddy said he just saw something last week that Sting was on “RAW,” and I didn’t know about that. I had heard the rumors, and didn’t know what to think, but oh, man, I’m so excited. I can’t wait to see how that plays out.”
Hughes then moves on to talking about television, and asks Hardy what the TNA Wrestling talent has been told in regards to negotiations between the company and SpikeTV and the possible cancellation of “IMPACT WRESTLING.” Hardy responds with,
“Oh God…I have no idea. I hope for the best, but…you know…I’ll see the tweets, and I guess the negotiation is on-going, but, I mean, the way I look at it is they use me for my talent, and I show up and do the best I can in the ring every night I go out there. Hopefully, they work something out, but dude I have NO idea what’s going to happen.”
He also talks about WWE and whether or not he’ll work for the company again, saying,
“I’ll watch “RAW” every now and then, and man I miss the Universe, but I don’t miss that schedule man. Years down the road, who knows, but right now, TNA is my home.”
