WWE legend Jake “The Snake” Roberts has apologized to the Ultimate Warrior over negative comments that he recently made towards the future WWE Hall of Famer.

As we previously reported, Roberts recently made a statement that was very unflattering towards the Ultimate Warrior and his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. Roberts was seemingly unhappy at Warrior being honored with a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame before he was asked to be a part of the prestigious Hall, saying that the company must just be bringing in “A-holes” instead of “great talent.”

Warrior then shot back with a tweet on Monday that was aimed directly at Roberts, calling him a hypocrite. After Roberts was shown what Warrior said, he took to Twitter to explain himself and apologize to the former champion, saying,

“My guys showed me Warrior’s tweets. I was trying to be entertaining with the radio show and took things too far, like I do too often. I have no business inferring anything negative about him. I apologize. He deserves the HOF and respect for what he accomplished in the business. But let me be clear. There is no hypocrisy here. I am not preaching anything. I am sharing my recovery path to show others what is possible. So no pity, bathrooms stalls or groveling.

I am doing great. I am an addict and alcoholic working every single day to repair and make the best out of the life I have left. I make mistakes, like that comment, but my recovery has been amazing. Jim does not know this Jake. Without realizing or intending to, I fired the first shot and will take Jim’s response without any negativity towards him. I apologize and am putting behind me.”

With Roberts posting an apology online, it seems as if the war of words between the Warrior and himself has come to a stand still. However, only time will tell if this back-and-forth has truly come to an end.
