Health Update on Daniel Bryan

New reports have provided a health update on Daniel Bryan. The WWE World Heavyweight Champion is not recovering as fast as WWE officials would have hoped, and may actually be declining in strength post-surgery, claims the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Bryan had neck surgery to relieve pressure on nerves that were leading to numbness and weakness in his right arm. According to the report, rehabilitation of Bryan’s right arm is taking than anticipated, with one source claiming that he is actually losing strength in the arm which concerns many people.

Bryan was backstage during the June 2 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” and reportedly his current health situation was the most discussed topic among WWE officials. Bryan has been sent to a follow-up appointment with Dr. Joseph Maroon, who performed the surgery on his neck, to to determine what may be the issue.

The company “YES” man is still expected to appear on the June 9 edition of “Monday Night Raw.” His appearance will likely be in a segment with Stephanie McMahon, who announced on June 2 that Bryan will either have to face Kane in a Stretcher Match at “Money In The Bank” for the title, or be stripped of it. This announcement was made because the company honestly has no idea if Bryan will be able to compete at the Pay-Per-View event, but they want to have all bases covered in case he can.
