Former WWE and TNA superstar Bobby Lashley has returned to TNA Wrestling. Lashley made his re-emergence into the professional wrestling business on March 9, as he appeared on TNA’s “Lockdown” Pay-Per-View.

Lashley answered an “open challenge” from Ethan Carter III, quickly attacking the “nephew” of Dixie Carter, and leaving him laying in the middle of the ring with a spear. ECIII was scheduled to take on TNA Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, but Carter attacked Angle prior to the bout, leaving him unable to compete.

No bell was sounded as Lashley hit the ring and answered Carter’s demand for an opponent, leaving ECIII’s “undefeated streak” in tact. Lashley had last been seen on TNA television in 2010, when the former World Heavyweight Champion spent a year performing for the company.

Lashley made his most notable run in the business with the WWE during a four-year tenure with the biggest promotion in wrestling, holding the United States, World Heavyweight, and ECW championships during his stay. Lashley dabbled around in MMA and the independent wrestling circuit from 2010 until now.

While he barely made an appearance on the program, Lashley’s return at TNA “Lockdown” is already the most talked about portion of the broadcast, creating some buzz about what his status will be with the company moving forward.
