Different advertisements and reports have provided a final look at the Jan. 29 live edition of WWE “Smackdown” that will air on the SyFy Network. As previously reported, this episode of WWE’s Thursday night program will be live and feature storylines that were set to air during the Jan. 26 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” which was postponed due to severe weather.
As previously reported, the only match advertised for the program is a Casket Match between Kane and Daniel Bryan. However, WWE is expected to continue building angles and storylines for WrestleMania 31 during the program.
WWE.com has posted the following “Five Point Preview” for “Smackdown,” which notably asks questions about superstars who are slated to appear. One of these points however does not ask a question, but provides a warning about Mr. Money in the Bank Seth Rollins, saying that he is looking for a fight.
* Who will step up when SmackDown goes Live?
* Will the Casket be the death of Bryan’s WrestleMania dreams?
* How will No. 1 Contender Roman Reigns embrace the storm?
* Keep one eye open, Seth Rollins is ready for war
* What will happen between Rusev and John Cena?
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Brock Lesnar was originally scheduled to appear on the program, but has since been removed from advertisements. Another superstar who has been removed from the promotional material for the show is Randy Orton, who has been ready to return for weeks. While one, or both superstars may appear on the program, they are no longer being advertised.
Editor’s Note:
We’re on the Road to WrestleMania, so hopefully this two hour live show should be fun to watch. I’m excited for it.
