A match between Chris Jericho and Fandango for WrestleMania 29 was confirmed on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. This will be Fandango’s first official match in the WWE, as all of his other “debuts” have been hindered via run-in or someone not pronouncing Fandango correctly.
The feud between the rookie and Y2J began on the 3/18 edition of Raw after Jericho made fun of the way he says, “Fandango.” An attack on Jericho would then take place on the 3/22 episode of Smackdown, leading to Monday night’s brawl between the two superstars. Jericho would take out Fandango before he could “compete in his match,” but then would take a guillotine leg drop from the top rope from Fandango after his victory over Dolph Ziggler. Y2J revealed later in the show that he had been given this match at ‘Mania, courtesy of Vickie Guerrero.
