Daniel Bryan is still rumored to face Sheamus at WrestleMania XXX. Following a spot of epic highjacking of the entire 2014 “Royal Rumble” event by the fans that were in attendance, many believed that WWE would take heed and listen to the WWE Universe when it comes to the WrestleMania WWE World Heavyweight Championship main event.

The fans want Bryan, but WWE officials do not.

PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE officials, including Vince McMahon and Triple H, recognized the negative response from the “Royal Rumble” crowd, reacting heavily backstage, but not in a way that will change their WrestleMania XXX plans.  Currently, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship main event is penciled in to be Randy Orton defending his title against Rumble winner Batista.

According to the report, McMahon and company recognize the fans’ love for Bryan at the moment, but do not feel like the response he receives garners a change in direction for the company. Apparently no amount of reaction for Bryan will hinder initial ‘Mania plans from coming to fruition, meaning at WrestleMania XXX, a match between Daniel Bryan and Sheamus is likely to take place.
