Former WWE Champion Chris Jericho may work the 2015 “Royal Rumble” PPV. According to advertisements show on local networks in New Jersey, Jericho will be a part of the WWE Supershow Live Event that will take place on Jan. 24 at the IZOD Center, just one night before the 2015 “Royal Rumble.” This could mean Jericho will be returning for another short run beginning in January of 2o15.
Jericho has made several returns to WWE at the annual “Royal Rumble” PPV. Most recently in 2013, Jericho returned as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble bout to what he claims was his biggest fan reaction in the history of his tenure with the company. Jericho entered at No. 2 and lasted almost an hour before he was eliminated by the No. 1 entrant, Dolph Ziggler.
Jericho is not the only currently inactive superstar who is being advertised for the show. Roman Reigns, who has been sidelined from competition since September, is also being promoted for the event. Reigns has also been advertised as one of the main entrants into the 2015 Royal Rumble match itself, which many believe he will be the victor. Reigns is currently penciled in to challenge WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31.
Jericho recently appeared for WWE during their 2014 European Fall Tour, where he ran an edition of the “Highlight Reel,” and competed in tag team action along side of Dean Ambrose during the Nov. 14 edition of “Smackdown.”
Editor’s Note:
Bring it on! Love Jericho. He’s a true living, and still working, legend.
