Ethan Carter III has been protected by an unbeaten streak during his year-long tenure on “Impact Wrestling.” But as the show searches for a new television deal, he won’t be doing any wrestling anytime soon.

Reports surfaced this past weekend “ECIII” had gone down with torn biceps. Carter confirmed the surgery with a humorous tweet Monday morning.

Carter used to be known as “Derrick Bateman” in WWE, but never found much success. He had a couple stints in “NXT” prior to it becoming the developmental system full-time, but was then released in 2013.

Since coming to TNA, he was tabbed as Dixie Carter’s nephew, thus gaining benefit from her. He was recently paired with Tyrus, also known as Brodus Clay from WWE fame. He is expected to be out for about six months.

Editor’s Note

Let’s see where TNA is by the time he returns.
