Former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio, now known as “El Patrón,” has been making headlines as of late, discussing the rampant racism that is supposedly flowing thru WWE upper management.

But those missing the former man of destiny need not fret. Del Rio tells wrestling personality Bill Apter he will be returning to television soon.

In an interview with Apter, he revealed the following:

“I’m working for AAA down there in Mexico, they’re doing amazing things. They have the right people behind the project, they have the right sponsors. They’re treating me well, I’m happy with what I’m doing at the moment. I’m going to start wrestling here in the United States in January. Indie shows, and I’m about to sign a deal with two different companies with TV deals, but that’s not going to be until January.”

He recently appeared at the “House of Hardcore” event organized by Tommy Dreamer alongside former ring announce Ricardo Rodriguez. It has been noted he will join Lucha Underground in 2015, which will give him some exposure.

It is unknown what the companies will be for sure, but he had been rumored for TNA at one point following his departure as well.

Editor’s Note

He’s talented, so hopefully he winds up on his feet soon.
