WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar has been removed from the upcoming Dec. 8 edition of “Monday Night Raw.” As previously reported, Lesnar was set to appear on the show, which will emanate from Greenville, SC, as the Slammy Awards will also take place on the same night.
Lesnar is rumored to be winning the “OMG Moment of the Year” Slammy, as he ended The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania XXX in April. However, Lesnar will no longer be appearing on the program.
The WWE World Heavyweight Champion has not appeared on WWE programming since suffering a loss to John Cena via disqualification at “Night of Champions” in September. The company will have to pay the champion big bucks to appear on television, and will only have him booked for a show as he builds towards a Pay-Per-View match.
WWE waffled back and forth about whether they would book Lesnar vs. Cena for WWE “TLC” or not. With Cena facing Rollins in a Tables Match at the annual December PPV now, it’s obvious that Lesnar will now be challenged by the leader of the Cenation at “Royal Rumble” in January.
This means WWE doesn’t need to book Lesnar for a “RAW” before “TLC,” if he’s not appearing at the event. The current WWE World Heavyweight Champion is scheduled for appearances following “TLC,” however, including Dec. 15, one night following the “TLC” PPV.
Lesnar is no longer listed for next week’s “RAW” on WWE.com, which will be held in the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. The official website of the venue has also removed Lesnar from it’s promotional material online. However, multiple ads in the Greenville area advertised Lesnar all throughout the Dec. 1 edition of “Monday Night Raw.”
The following dates are now advertised to feature the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar,
* Dec. 15, 2014 – Detroit, MI
* Dec. 29, 2014 – Washington, D.C
* Jan. 12, 2015 – New Orleans, LA
* Jan. 19, 2015 – Dallas, TX
* Jan. 26, 2015 – Hartford, CT
Editor’s Note:
Welp, seeing as though Greenville is my home town and I’ll be there, this kinda sucks. Big ones. Multiple, big ones.
