New reports have provided some backstage news on TNA and Global Force Wrestling’s upcoming invasion angle that will bring both companies together. As previously reported, the angle is reportedly going to bring TNA stars to GFW, and vice versa for the next few months.
GFW owner Jeff Jarrett shocked the world of Professional Wrestling when he returned to “IMPACT WRESTLING” in June to announce that the company had asked if he would not only be the next inductee into the TNA Wrestling Hall of Fame, but if he would participate in the King of the Mountain Match at “Slammiversary” on June 28.
Jarrett accepted the induction bid, and went on to win the King of the Mountain Match at “Slammiversary,” a match that he created. It wasn’t long after the Pay-Per-View was off-the-air when former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode claimed that he would be invading GFW’s inaugural television tapings in July in hopes of capturing the GFW World Heavyweight Champion. The company will be holding tournaments to decide their inaugural champions during the events set to be taped in Las Vegas.
Not only is Roode making an appearance during the show, but former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eric Young is the latest to claim that he is going to enter the tournament, as well as making appearances at GFW Live Events the weekend of July 12. Both Young and Jarrett have taken to Twitter to confirm Young’s involvement in GFW. Other former TNA stars such as Gunner, James Storm, and Magnus are also set to compete in the GFW title tourney.
PWInsider.com reports that the impending TNA vs. GFW storyline is scheduled to really kick off during the “IMPACT WRESTLING” tapings set to begin on July 22 in Orlando, Florida at the Impact Zone. With GFW holding their first set of TV tapings on July 24 in Las Vegas, it’s expected that the invasion angle will likely begin during the “live-to-tape” edition of “IMPACT WRESTLING” on July 22.

It’s happening. It’s really happening. What…I mean…I dunno. Whatever.
