The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided some backstage news regarding Big Show’s WWE status. According to reports, Show’s WWE contract has him working for the company through 2018, and that he is at the lowest weight and in the best shape that he’s been in over the last 15 years.
Show, who is currently 42, claims that he has trained incredibly hard to get into a shape and condition that would allow him to compete at the highest caliber that he possibly can over the next four years. Show, real name Paul Wight, has recently been teaming up with Mark Henry on WWE television, although the tag team of “Wight Chocolate” may not last very long.
Henry has been involving himself into segments featuring Russian sympathizer Rusev as of late, and is expected to work a program with the Bulgarian Brute. Likewise, Show is scheduled to be facing Bray Wyatt following Wyatt’s program with Chris Jericho, which should end on Sept. 21 at “Night of Champions.”
Henry and Show have been facing the Wyatt Family on WWE TV, and many believe that the involvement of Erick Rowan and Luke Harper will undoubtably lead to Show vs Bray Wyatt. Show is slated to face Wyatt at a slew of upcoming WWE Live Events, likely so they can begin working on match ideas and test out their performances together prior to engaging in an on-air rivalry.
Editor’s Note:
Good to see Show in great shape these days. Hopefully his program with Bray Wyatt won’t be terrible. That’s all I can hope for.
