Apparently there is some backstage heat on “Midget Wrestler” Short Sleeve Sampson, who appeared during the WWE “Extreme Rules” Kick-Off Show as “Jerry Smaller.” The heat on him has derived from the photo (seen above) that Sampson posted of himself prior to “Extreme Rules” going live.
Normally, such a photo would not have been such a big deal, but Sampson inadvertently caught The Wyatt Family and John Cena sitting together in the background, presumably going over what each person would do during their Steel Cage Match later in the show. Although Sampson removed the image from his official Twitter account, many followers had already saved it.
The picture is now making its way through the World Wide Web, which is the cause of Sampson’s “dislike” backstage. Sampson has worked with WWE many times before playing a mini-Jerry “The King” Lawler on May 4. In 2003, Sampson made his WWE debut as a “mini-me” Kurt Angle. He also portrayed a miniature version of the Undertaker in 2004 before joining the WWE’s Junior Division in 2005.
Sampson’s last WWE appearance prior to “Extreme Rules” was in 2006, as he appeared as one of the “mini” Spirit Squad members during a segment with the newly reformed D-Generation X.
Editor’s Note:
I thought the mini-commentary was awesome on Sunday. Vince had to have been pissing himself in laughter backstage. I know that much. In regards to the photo, I’m more interested in finding out if JBL was tweeting as @CrankyVince then caring about the Wyatts and Cena going over their match.
