WATCH: Roman Reigns & Paul Heyman Share An Emotional Moment

A tribal chief and his wise man. Last night at Wrestlemania 40, Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns to become the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. This ends Reigns’ historic run, as he held the title for 1,316 days, over three and a half years.

Following the match, a fan in attendance caught a video of Reigns and Heyman sharing an emotional moment and hugging on the stage, while Cody celebrated in the ring. You can see the video below:

It has been previously reported that Reigns will be taking time off, with his next match expected when WWE returns to Saudi Arabia at the end of May.

What more can you say about this historic title reign? I’ve said it multiple times, but I believe that he is the greatest wrestler of our generation and I have him in my top 10 of all time. I saw a picture on the Internet of him smiling when Cody got the pin because Reigns knew that it was time for the torch to be passed. Last night was the conclusion of one of the greatest storylines in the history of professional wrestling, led by one of the greatest performers of all time. We are all lucky to have been fans during this era.
