You need a plan B. The Coronavirus has changed the way WWE works and that is the case for almost every wrestling promotion. There are only so many things that can be done given how the situation has been going and that keeps changing every single week. With so many things changing so often, WWE has to make some adjustments, which was kind of the case last week.

Last week’s Monday Night Raw was changed up at the last minute due to WWE Champion Drew McIntyre being diagnosed with the Coronavirus. That meant that McIntyre’s scheduled match with Randy Orton had to be changed, but WWE had someone special on hand to replace him in Triple H. It did not seem to matter though as the ending was quite different, but how much were things changed?

According to Fightful Select, the original plan for the ending to Monday Night Raw was always the same. The show ended with Alexa Bliss shooting a fireball at Orton, which would have been the finish whether Orton faced McIntyre or Triple H. Orton vs. Triple H was a fight rather than a match and Triple H disappeared before Bliss appeared to shoot the fireball.

It didn’t quite matter. Check out how the show ended:

Opinion: I’m not entirely surprised by this as Triple H did not exactly matter in the finish to the show. The ending worked out well enough and should be leading somewhere else with Orton vs. a returning Bray Wyatt. Hopefully they come up with something that fits the setup, because what they gave us on Monday was certainly the kind of thing that deserves a followup.
