New reports have come in following yesterday’s story of a man being shot outside of the WWE Performance Center.
CBS news affiliate WKMG in Orlando, Florida is reporting that 29 year-old Armando Alejandro Montalvo was in critical condition as of this morning, following emergency surgery on Monday afternoon.
Jeff Williamson, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s office, said that Montalvo was the subject of a Baker’s Act Order, which allows individuals to be involuntarily detained for mental health treatment.
However, Elvis Kalicharan, a friend of Montalvo’s, told WKMG that the treatment was insufficient. He said:
“As long as I’ve known him, he’s never gone there with ill intentions, he’s just a silly little kid. Mentally, he’s just a little kid. He loves wrestling, and this was his dream. He’s been through the system and they just let him out.”
It had been previously reported that Montalvo had an obsession with one of the female performers at the training center, and due to his mental illness, poured a bucket of feces on the side wall of the performance center, while also urinating on iit.
