“Mexico’s Greatest Export” is going to have another opportunity to win an American championship.

It was announced on tonight’s episode of “Monday Night Raw,” that WWE United States Champion Kalisto will once again be defending his title against Alberto Del Rio at “Fast Lane.” Del Rio is invoking his rematch clause to receive another opportunity at the title, after losing it to Kalisto last month at the “Royal Rumble.”

Kalisto’s first United States championship reign began on the Jan. 11 edition of “Raw,” when he defeated Del Rio in a shocking upset. However, Del Rio would regain his title three days later on “SmackDown,” thanks to interference from Wade Barrett.

On tonight’s edition of “Raw,” Kalisto competed in a match against Del Rio’s fellow League of Nations member Rusev, where picked up the victory via count out.

Editor’s Note:

Again? I don’t like this pairing at all. There is so much young talent on the roster, and so many superstars deserving of a United States championship match. It has been proven time and time again that Del Rio and the US title just didn’t work, and guys like AJ Styles, Tyler Breeze and Wade Barrett, amongst others would be a better fit for that title. Either way, we’ll get a good match between two great competitors – I just hope that Kalisto picks up the win.
