There was an incident backstage during TNA’s TV taping while the company was touring the United Kingdom between Awesome Kong and Reby Sky.

The short version of the incident is that Kong and Sky have been bitter to each other for a few years now, and when they were both in the TNA locker room on Friday night, it all came to ahead and there was a physical altercation between them.

The details are a little fuzzy on who attacked who during the skirmish, but TNA reacted by sending Awesome Kong home to the United States while Reby Sky remains on tour with her husband and current TNA World Champion Matt Hardy.

Yesterday, TNA issued an officialy statement to Ryan Satin of ProWrestlingSheet.com. The statement confirmed the backstage incident and Awesome Kong’s return to the United States. Below is the full statement from the company on the incident this weekend:

“Prior to the IMPACT WRESTLING TV taping at the Manchester Arena, Kia Stevens (Awesome Kong) was involved in an incident involving Rebecca Hardy (Reby Sky). Subsequently, Kia was removed from the tour and returned to the United States. The matter is being reviewed to determine if any additional disciplinary action will be taken.”
