This has been a really bad week for the TNA roster.

According to a report from PWInsider, Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis-Bennett have officially left the company. They were working on per appearance deals over the last set of TV tapings, as their respective contracts expired in the last part of 2016.

The couple had been with TNA since 2015 after departing ROH. Their final segment with the company was the culmination of an angle that finally saw her “protege” Allie take her down at a wedding ceremony, and end up getting together with Braxton Sutter.

Maria is a former Knockouts champion, while Mike is a former X Division champion.

A member of the WWE roster from 2004-2010, Maria won the “Slammy” award for Diva of the Year in 2009.

Editor’s Note:

I’ve been saying for years that despite the fact that things are mismanaged, both from a personnel and financial standpoint, TNA manages to stay in business. With the loss of the Hardys, Drew Galloway and now the Bennetts, this may truly be the final nail in the coffin.
